1. Information we collect
We process registration details such as login name, email address and password credentials in protected form; technical data such as IP address, device and browser information; game account, character, inventory, achievement and activity data; support messages; vote verification records; and transaction identifiers supplied by payment providers.
The official launcher creates a device-specific P-256 signing key. PlayTera receives the public key, a derived device ID, platform and launcher version, the reported key-protection level, and a server-peppered one-way machine-binding value. The private key and the raw Windows MachineGuid or Linux machine-id stay on the device and are not transmitted.
2. How information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts, operate the game, show your player panel, deliver purchases and vote rewards, prevent cheating and fraud, provide support, maintain service reliability and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Signed one-time login challenges prove possession of the registered launcher key and resist copied login tickets. Device-to-account links, recent IP addresses and security events help investigate account theft, sanction evasion and abuse. They are not used for advertising.
3. Legal basis and choices
Depending on your location, processing may be necessary to provide the service you requested, comply with law, protect legitimate security and operational interests, or rely on consent. You may withdraw optional consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. Cookies and sessions
PlayTera uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms and remember language preferences. Optional analytics should be activated only when configured and, where required, after consent. You can remove cookies through your browser, but essential account functions may stop working.
5. Payments and donations
The selected provider processes the payment and returns limited data such as status, amount, currency, order reference and provider transaction ID. PlayTera uses this information to credit the account, prevent duplicate delivery, handle refunds and maintain financial records.
6. Votes and reward delivery
Ranking providers may return a vote identifier, account identifier, time, status and anti-fraud signals. PlayTera records completed claims and the Vote Coin ledger, then sends selected rewards to the game delivery service and in-game mail system.
7. Sharing and processors
Information is shared only as needed with infrastructure providers, payment processors, ranking platforms, Discord support tools and security services, or when legally required. PlayTera does not sell personal data. Providers may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.
8. Retention and security
Data is retained while your account is active and for the period reasonably required for security, dispute handling, financial records and legal duties. Device links can be removed in the player security panel; security events and active or appealed sanction records may be retained longer where necessary to prevent abuse. PlayTera uses access controls, encryption in transit, protected session cookies, logs and backups, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Subject to local law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection and may complain to a data-protection authority. Registered devices can be viewed and unlinked in the account panel. Some game, anti-cheat, transaction and sanction records may need to be retained. Requests and sanction appeals can require identity verification.
10. Minors, updates and contact
Users who are not old enough to consent under local law must involve a parent or guardian. This policy may be updated as services and legal requirements change. Privacy requests can be submitted to support@playtera.to or through the official Discord support system.
